Boho Bedroom Makeover

I love the free spirited look of this bedroom. When putting together a boho style room it’s fun to mix patterns and textures. I don’t like to overdo it so I kept it simple with clean lines and fun patterns.

I started by combining gold finishes the trim on this full length mirror from West Elm, with a light wood floating shelf to hold some keepsakes, and some big natural elements using bamboo. The black woven bamboo pendant from World Market tied it all together. adds an unexpected vintage flair while our favorite egg chair from Target offers an boho chic seat for the corner.

The Anthropologie bedding was truly the inspiration for the room. I like to start with a neutral base and then add color. In this space we layered color with pretty throw pillows and a green velvet storage bench.  We scored this one at Home Goods, but here is a similar bench from Targ

The accent wall is a chalkboard and it’s a beautiful focal point that also serves as a headboard. We chose Benjamin Moore Sea Salt for the other walls because it is a gentle, relaxing color against the sharp chalk board paint. Chalkboard walls are fun for all ages and I know our client will find creative ways to enjoy it. Wall Color: Benjamin Moore Sea Salt | Trim Color: Decorator’s white
