Is your bedroom furniture showing your age? So often we hear “this is the furniture from when we got married”. The big, clunky Ethan Allen pieces that were popular then are now telling what year you said “I do”. Also, they’re not practical. Here, in Medford, we all have tiny bedrooms with little to no closet space. This space was a bit crowded and gloomy. We wanted to create a serene mood with a coastal vibe. Storage was the #1 goal. Wall Color: Benjamin More Sea Salt | Trim Color: Decorator’s white
In this space, we were able to replace one dresser with three (three!) These IKEA dark gray dressers added a striking contrast against the new light colored walls. Deep drawers galore at an awesome price. Putting them together was a b, but totally worth it! The fun part was picking out the decor to top it off and, OMG, this lamp was the best find!
Mirror, Decor and Lamp are from Home Goods
We knew we wanted to add a headboard and included a woven piece on the inspiration board. Finding one online that was available within our timeline and budget was a real challenge. After a snafu with the first one we received (it was ugly), we found this one from Pottery Barn on FB Marketplace for 30% off. Tip: Pottery Barn in Burlington, MA lists its overstocked furniture there! Who knew? I love the caning style of this piece and the finish was perfect!
